Proper trace cutting technique?

I agree with JH, I tend to just make 2 fairly deep cut perpendicular
(straight across) the trace and then heat the section so that it comes
off. No problems so far, except of course for uglify-ing otherwise
nice-looking PCB's :)
If you ever need to re-attach the trace, just scrape the film away on both
sides of the cut, tin 'em up with some solder, and solder a little
resistor clipping across the gap.
