My favorite method is making two cuts (1mm apart) with a sharp knife,
then heat the copper trace between the cuts with the soldering iron for
a few seconds until the glue is destroyed and the tiny copper piece
comes loose and sticks to the tip of the iron.
Make sure that you really cut thru the copper, in order to thermally
isolate the piece to remove from the rest of the trace. (you don't want
the rest of the trace to come loose.)
