max # of eeprom read cycles

Nothing to do with EEPROMs but a similar fault with ageing. I have a
Korg Wavestation that powers down for a short moment every 30 or so
minutes. It is a switch mode power supply problem but its a right pain
to fix, so I rang Korg UK, and by sheer coincidence they have one with
the same fault. The engineer told me that this could be the start of
something big. Watch out for built in obscelesence in digital stuff.
Probably running some of the components out of its SOAR. Or worse,
because it is so hard to spec... average values are being met, but the
peak transients are too big. 1nS 10KV spike anyone???

Oh, if anyone knows of this fault, mail me and I will make the poor Korg
guy very happy. He is busy replacing every component on the board until
it works.
