Hello Arthur, I know you are not on the list, but anyway:

You asked for Trautonium schemos.

I've found a hint in Oskar Sala's Record "Mixturen".

In case of interest (also list) , I could write it down tomorrow.

I know somebody who visited Sala for his thesis.

In case of interest I'll ask him.


Maybe I could establish a connection to the people who did
the modern semiconductor version of the instrument.

OTOH, if one is able to understand who the principle of Sala's
instrument works, one will be able to emulate this with a good
modular synth.

The main feature is , of course, the manual, ie. wire wound string,
together with glycerine (sp?) "aftertouch".

Then you need some oscillators with sync for the subharmonics.

And two pedals for loadness and asubharmonic switching.




Anyway, I heard the record yesterday, it is superb. It is available from
Erdenklang label. If only Sala would not use THAT much reverb all the time!
