This is a good idea. I'd buy one... but not for $250. Around $100 is as
high as I could go right now on my current budget. Do you think this figure
is reasonable, or too optimistic?

Not much more time consuming than photocopying each and every page every
time an order comes in... much _less_ time consuming I'd think. There's a
bit of effort needed to get it underway, but after that it will take about
15-20 minutes to get an order ready and out the door, materials will cost
about $2, and the cost of shipping will drop tremendously.

Perhaps directly approaching Mr. Hutchins about this would be effective...
It really makes good business sense for him to do it this way, and if there
was X amount of cash from pre-orders on the table as incentive it would
surely help this out. Another option might be to contact some of the
original Electronotes contributors and ask them very nicely to encourage Mr.
Hutchins to put the entire collection on CD. Some gentle prodding from the
people who actually contributed the articles might go a long way.

But, I dont know about putting more than one collection on the CD... I think
its best not to complicate matters at this stage.

just some thoughts.
