Ribbon Controller Again

Hello Ron,

You are not going to believe this, but I draw my schematics
with Windoze Paint, the crappy bmp editor that comes with
Windoze. As I do not use schematics to produce pcb designs
on my computer, I have no need for anything fancy to
download netlists, gerber files or what have you. The
schematic drawing programs that I have tried are simply
more effort than it is worth for me to learn to use them,
and they are not any faster than what I am doing now. So I
just copy and paste from a set of symbols I have made up,
with complete flexibility and, as it is such a basic
program, it is about as fast as one can get. Plus you can
custom design any symbol that you like with ease, or copy
symbols that you like from other schematics.

If I need to do anything fancy with image manipulation, I
use Paint Shop Pro. (Great program, buy the registered
version!) (If you're stuck with a windoze pc that is.)

I imagine that there are equivalent bmp editor programs for
other platforms.

Hope this helps!

Happy New Year to everyone!

Doug.
