I'm doing a similar thing (patchless modular based on the ASM1), I am about
to test how things go using a couple of Harris cd74hc22106s (an 8*8 switch)
and have it switching fast with sample and holds on the output of each
switch (havn't done that much testing yet - but it 'should' work!.

Can't coment on the AD component though.  Reply off list if you want to
bounce any ideas with me.
