Hi all, Hi Carlos Vila,

this is a very interesting and effective way to manipulate sounds :
you can create vocal formants, for example.
I have just build up the KORG PS3100 Resonator, with 4 channels.
(The original version only has 3 channels, and I drive the LED's
for the vactrols with OP-Amps and not with transistors.
The filter stage remains the same (of course....) )
The filter frequency of these 4 band pass filters are voltage controlled
and as an input, for example, you can take 4 ADSR's.
I did not connect 4 ADSR's with the Resonator Filter clone, I "only"
tried 4 TRI-LFO's. And even with this combination,
sometimes, you can hear AAAA'S and OOO's passing by.
I am sure : if you connect each of the 4 channels with an ADSR,
(or INV-ADSR) you can create reproducable vocal formants and other
interesting sonic events.

If there is interest, I will post my modification of the resonator
clone (4 channels, LED'S driven with OP-amps, DIY-VACTROLS)

J.S.

Oh, and : happy new millenium, and (belated) Merry Christmas to all the
members.

BTW.: This is NOT a vocoder. A vocoder has several (8-16) channels (band
pass)
with FIXED frequencies. In normal vocoders, there is no possibility to
change the frequency of one of these band pass filters.
