DIY box for adding shuffle to a Sync Signal

    Hi I have been racking my brain trying to think of how to make a sync through box which would add swing to sync.  It would be useful for making drum machines without shuffle settings swing.  It takes 6 triggers to make a drum machine step to the next step.  So I assume if I were to somehow split the signal so

    1234561 2 3 4 5 61234561 2 3 4 5 6.  I believe this should make the sync signal swing.  I am hoping to somehow have this in an external through box with a POT for changing the shuffle from 1 to 10,  but this may be very difficult.  Someone PLEASE if you have any ideas, send to the group or email me.  A friend suggested thinking boulean logic but I am not sure.  Someone out there must know how to achieve my goal.
