If you really want to go overboard you would notice that somewhat more
advanced of the modern scopes actually have a "VGA-output" which allows you
to hook it up to your computer screen, 31-inch TV or even your Barco video
canon, which is natural supplementary to any major DIY lab ;)

And yes, there are home TVs which has VGA contacts, I saw that some Sony TVs
have them, one in the front and one in the back. Soon will the TVs have both
Ethernet contacts and fibre for uplink communication ;)
