Thank you all for the good suggestions and links! Also thanks for the
spelling hints. I rarely use any dictionary, nor spelling checker. I
just guess, in the most cases I'm right, this time I was obviously not.
Anyway, I think that it is may be not so important to have the "real"
impulse response. Because, if you are in a medieval cathedral, say
Cologne, you SEE the light, the sky high walls and all that. At home you
see your living room. The visual aspect of auditory perception should not
be underestimated. People can be made to hear things that are obviously
not there with clever optical tricks.
So, even if one gets a "real" impulse response, the reverb will sound
smaller at home , because all the environmental effect has gone.
Never the less one should do the job as good as possible.
I guess I buy some balloons today!
I hope that I will have more time at the weekends (Nov and Dec
I spend my weekends in hotels , railways stations and on trains).
Dumb question: do you know a convolver program for DOS/Win?
My own version works, but is quite slow.
