Chris,
There are those among us who say that switching psu's are no good
for audio, if you stick a scope on the rails and crank up the frequency
of the scope, you see the supply is never actually DC, its chopped,
looks like a train of pulses...
I say try it, if the chopping frequency is high enough, and it doesn't
interfere with the audio, then use it..
Im lucky enough to have managed to salvage 5 linear psu's with
adjustable output voltage from +/-10v to +/- 16v rated at 1A for
each rail... These were used on old Gandalf line driver racks.
One is powering my modular and the others are all going in various
projects.

What are the current requirements of the +/- 15V supply? I have a number of
+/-15V switching supplies from a salvage job I did..they're very small and
compact, and might be just right for the job...
