Hello
I'm a newbie to the list so I don't know how appropriate this question
is, but I'm trying to track down the source of a hum in my old Kawai K4
synth. I know it's the synth, since it comes through even in headphones
and from all outputs.
I have a rudimentary knowledge of electronics from college, so I tried
putting a filter capacitor across the power supply, but this made no
change (though maybe I didn't get the right capacitance?). I have a VOM
but no oscilliscope or any fancy equipment. Anyone have any ideas, or is
this a lost cause?
Thanks for your help,
Alan M
