Y-ellow Y'all.
	Thanks for the suggestions. To everyone. Most appreciated. There's a
couple there I can try almost immediately.

I've tried those HF dog oscillators. They're probably good for keeping the
neighborhood pooch off your lawn but they're pretty ineffective against a
charging rotweiler. Dogs can be trained to respond to HF whistles as well
so it really depends on the individual dog as to how effective it is.

For the record and since a number of people asked, Australia isn't infested
by dogs as such. They generally just like to chase and bring down moving
objects. Skaters in particular. Though if you do come here, you have to
watch out for Piping Shrikes. (A kind of magpie) Especially in the mating
season. These guys will rip flesh from your scalp given half a chance. But
they're not very bright. If you paint some eyes on the back of your hat
they'll leave you alone.

And we won't go into the snakes, funnel webs, red backs, razorbacks and
blue rings. Most of which can kill you stone dead within 20 minutes. Some
faster! And of course there's Dingos, crocs and drop bears. But other than
that it's a wonderful place. And if they could work  out a way of ridding
us of pests like Cane Toads and politicians it'd be almost safe to visit.
Actually I've never been able to tell the difference between a politician
and a cane toad. Except that people care more about cane toads when you run
over one in your four wheel drive. But I digress.

Anyway, thanks very much for the most excellent suggestions. I'm off to
mess with some shock therapy.
