Why make it push-pull? Use a single-ended 6BM8.
It's perfect--puts out about 1.5 watts with a 200v
supply
And sounds great, too. Ask the guys at the AX84
amp project website.

Take this circuit:

--and add a 12AX7 gain stage in front of it, and
you have a
hell of a little amp. With only 2 tubes!
(6BM8/ECL82s are still being made--good ones
too--unlike
the current 6V6 production...)
