problem with power supply

Hi list,
recently I bought a power one supply to feed a Serge panel. When I checked
the voltage everything seemed to be ok. As soon as I plugged in the original
Serge powerdistributor (without attached panel), the leds that serve as
power indicators lit up and then.... the fuse blowed. I used a 0.5 A fuse as
suggested by the instructions. I tried another one and the same thing
happened. The power supply should be able to supply +/-12 V, 1.5 A. I cannot
imagine that the powerdistributor eats that much power. The fuses I tried
are of the type "fast" (flink in German). Should I try slower ones? Or does
this sound like an error to you. I use the powerdistributor with an original
Serge power supply without any problems. Any tips/hints/suggestions are
highly welcome!
Regards
Joerg
