If an independant artist finally 'makes it' and gets signed to a big label,
then they've "sold out"

Hey, yes, it's all about money!  Money buys stuff like electronic musical
instruments and electronic components for my modular synth and food to eat
when I'm not writing music or soldering!  Three cheers for money!...

Personally, I'm glad that Sony is good at making money.   That let's them
stay in business and invent the MiniDisc, thus I can master digitally
without having to buy an expensive DAT deck and I don't have to rely on
sh***ty audio tape either.

Hmm. oh yes, MiniDisc is compressed audio..etc.etc..  Doesn't seem to make
much of a difference to me.  Hmm.... MP3 is also compressed, but that doesnt
seem to stop everybody on the internet from swapping MP3's around, does it?
