Hi Scott and all,

I think it would be OK just to solder the resistor so that it lies
across the top of your transistor pair. Perhaps put some heat sink gunge
on the two. My TB3030 prototypes both have the temp co lying next to the
expo pair. No thermal coupling between the two and its fine, better than
my monosynth with CEM3340s. But it is in its own box which sits in a
small well ventilated rack, and used in a bedroom whose temperature is
fairly constant. Perhaps if you have it in an open rack, like a MOTM
system mounted in your normal rack, you would need to take special care.
Air drafts could cause problems to a non thermally coupled device.

I am currently working on my VCO design which again uses the Farnell
temp co, and so far results are good as far as temp stability are
concerned. I have simply fixed the resistor to the top of the 2210
matched pair. More confirmation tests to do yet, but it sounds
wonderful.
