Is Fat Man all that ?

As another less-than-experienced DIYer, I can say that a big reason to get the
FatMan is its inclusion of thorough and carefully-written instructions. Mine worked
the first time out, apart from a few very minor problems which I haven't got around
to working on yet.

The ASM-1 does look like a capable machine, but it leaves a lot more to the builder
as far as parts substitutions, interpreting the schematics, etc. For my part as a
relative novice, I took one look at it and ran away screaming.
