Matrix 6 mods? Replacement keyboard?

Hey there-
I'm wondering if there are any good Matrix-6 mods out there?  I would especially like to run external signals through it, either bypassing or augmenting the DCOs.  Also, I would like to replace the cheesy, clacky keyboard with a nice semi-weighted one.  Any recommendations?  I have heard that the Oberheim pitch/mod levers send out a stream of unneccesary MIDI data, clogging the path.  Is this true of the Matrix 6, and what can be done about it?
