OT: Tape heads

The LM18000 ( if I remember right) contains a tape play/rec
preamp and bias oscillator. It's made for portable cassette
recorders and elimanates that long multi-contact switch
you see in on pc-boards with internal switching. Seems to
do a good job and might work for what you want.
