OT: Tape heads

There's a book titled "Amplifier Circuits"  by Rudolph Graf.  It has tape 
record and playback circuits (among many other useful schemos).  I've never 
had need to build one, so I'm unsure how well they work.   The inside cover 
states that the book should be available from http://www.bh.com/bh
