Patch leads

Hi all,

Anyone know the best way to get hold of economical patch leads. I don't
mind doing them myself, but what cable is best used for flexibility and
reliability?

I priced up 25 cables with swicthcraft jacks and VanDamme cable, and I
could hear my bank manager groaning from 16 miles away. So, I went for
the ultra-cheap option of unspecified jacks from Rapid Electronics and
RG58 cable, but even that hurts in when I need 25 of them.

No wonder, I always went for prepatched synths in the past. What does
everyone else use?
