Your Advice ??? (the evil empire...)

I have designed an accessory for the TD-5 drum kit made by the "evil
empire"
It lets you use two pads in place of one... a kind of Y cable

In my place, would you...

1) develop a commercial product and try to sell it via internet or
otherwise ??

or

2) Just put the schamatics up on the web and take a byte out of the
"evil empires" product line...

It would be tough to get someone to shell out big bucks for a PD-7 or
PD-9 dual zone pad if you could buy or make a cheap Y-cable and use
anyone's pads... including a very simple Piezo....
