Triggered wave generator/piezo questions

[Prospective Volition]

I have built on a breadboard one sectionof the paia synthdrum. It seems to 
work as it self oscillates when the Q value is high. i.e adjusting the 
resistor. But I can't get the piezo to trigger it. Is there any other way I 
can get it to trigger to test it.
