Programming prom ic's

Hi ,
sorry if this get posted twice but my last message
 didn't seem to get to the list.

anyone know if there is a simple design to program the prom ic's
  [ not the eproms ! ].
as it seems I may need to program the Texas Instruments 28L22 proms.
they haven't got a security link , so reading them should be ok .
they are 256 by 8 bit devices , and seem to be used to contain waveform
data .
