some help for interface glove and playstation joystick

dear sirs,
            I'm an italian msuician, and at the moment I'm looking for interface my dsp boards (Analog Device 2181, 2101 and 2102) with some devices.
I'm looking to some theremin concept, but I'm to seek for a data sheet or protocol of trasmission of the glove and the joystick of playstatins.
Can you help me?
I'm also interested to read yours archive, but I'm a PC user and I don't know the ".gz" compression. Can receive some advice for view the files?
