uA726 replacement, (the comedy of errors)

Dear all,

  Just a quicky, a while back I saw someones prototype for an chip (I think 
8 pin) which used a surface mount matched tranny pair and a tempco, mounted 
next to it. He was then going to pot it to make it sealed. was this someone 
on the list? did it work? how many can you make?
