pitch to CV converter

1) it really needs to be monophonic, if you hit more than one note its game
over... that's why there are Hex pickups...

2) Ignore any circuit that uses a (tachometer style) Frequency to Voltage
converter (one shot pulse and integrator...) Its too slow.

3) You must filter the signal so the fundamental is the largest signal present
at all times...

4) Study the Robert A. Moog patent on the subject... it is the technique you
must use...
but again if you don't filter the fundamental you are screwed...

5) The hex pickup is real nice... you can put a separate filter on each string
and its a lot easier... and you can get rid of the 2 note problem by selecting
only one at a time...

6) even if you make it all work... it will be about 24 mS late, best case. You
have to ignore the attack transient and then track full cycles, at the lowest
guitar frequency thats 80Hz = 12 mS etc...

I'd seriously consider not bothering at this point... I have a 360 systems
"slavedriver" which I extensively modified to get marginal performance from
it... I f you are really dead set I'll look for the schematic of the pitch to
voltage converter section, but I don't have the full schematic.... I fear even
this may have been lost in HD crash

Good Luck (you need it... lots of it) :^) Harry
