About Paia's Theremax...

Well, I'm building also my Paia's Theremax (I still needs to find the 
time to put the 220v european power supply), and I've heard that 
everybody can play with THeremin as with any other toy on earth, but 
to play it for real, is a task only allowed to those with plenty of 
time and patience,  and going further, violin masters as Clara 
Rockmore or alike....
BTW, I bought a supposed to be a shielded transformer, and I would 
like to know if anyone tryed 'em so, and if they're truly shielded, 
or its just another fake.. Anyone tryed one? Yes? What were the 
results? Thanks.
