I am passing along this information not as advertisement or solicitation
but hopefully as subject matter of interest to users of this group:
-------------------------------------------
I recently ordered some cables for use with my MOTM modular system from
Wacky Kovacky Instrument Cable. I am quite pleased with the cables. The
ends are Switchcraft. The cable is identified as "USA-1 High definition
instrument cable" and seems quite robust. The heatshrink on the ends not
only gives color to the cable ends, but also covers the actual coax to
connector jct adding some re-enforcement to one of the the
normal points of cable failure. You could order the same color heatshrink
black-on-black if you didn't want the color. I used two colors - one for
control and one for signal path (knowing full well these paths may
cross...).
I bought 30 cables for $150 plus $15 for priority shipping (USA price). I
am not connected with Mr John Kovac, but I certainly like his product. I
can't see spending almost $4 in material to make my own $5 cables when he
does such a fine job. I rather be building synth modules. Visit his
website at wackykovacy.com. The prices he has posted are a little higher
than what I paid. I guess I got a quantity break.
