Well, I could go along with stripping the chips from an old synth to repair
another old synth.  Especially if the other hard to find parts are salvaged
and spread around to repair other needy synths.  One working is better than
two not.  However, pulling them for NEW products is absurd.  I wrote
Doepfer also.
