Any ideas for a MIDI to 5 Volt pulse?

I have just bought/repaired/modded an old  "Super Analogue Systems (Anyone
heard of this) Pad 5" drum module,  and was wanting to get it going with my
MIDI gear, however I havn`t built anything with MIDI yet and was wondering
if anyone knew of any circuits which could:

1. Take a MIDI command, preset if necessary, and
2. Generate a >5< Volt pulse on receipt of the command.

The module has five sounds each with its own Gate input for triggering so
5*Gate out would be handy.
