I'll take a stab at the basics:

12BH7A

Twin triode Often used in TVs as horiz or vertical osc or vertical amp.
Triodes are indepenent except for heater. Design plate voltage center
around 300 volts but more typically 400-450. Heater 6 or 12 Volts (center
tap). Plate dissipation about 3.5 watts each triode.

6SN7GT, 6SN7GTB, 6SL7GT

All twin triodes. Often used in radio equipment as phase inverter or RC
amplifier. Triodes are indepenent except for heater. Design plate voltage
center around 300 volts. Plate dissipation about 1 watt.

ECC82

Same as 12AU7A. Another twin triode. Used as oscillator or class A
amplifier. Often used as push pull amplifier in radios. Triodes
independent except for heater. Heater 6 or 12 volts. Plate voltage
typically about 330 volts. Each plate dissipation about 2.75 watts

I think any would make a good voltage amp or inverter.
