The proof of the pudding will be in the eating as usual,
but I think the worst place to put a Leslie wd be in a
sealed box. I imagine most of the effect comes from
interference between different audio paths from speaker to
listner/microphone, with the relative amplitude of the
alternate paths varied by the baffle. Also of course, reflecting
sound from a moving reflector gives a doppler shift, opening
up phasing effects (although now I think about it, I suppose
any doppler is from the moving of the ends of the HF horn, so
the apparent audio source is moving.
By a curious coincidence, two acquaintences have bought huge
'home organs' with Leslies last week (Melbourne and Ballarat,
$30 and $300) with 'keyboard glow' switches.. they make the
keyboard glow, I believe!
