This morning in the shower I let my imagination run wild,
inspired by all the feedback from the list. The faint of
heart should delete this now!
How about setting up multiple rotating speakers (maybe
three), with voltage controlled spin rates and voltage
controlled parametric equalisation on their inputs (band
pass with variable frequency/resonance). Mount these in a
sealed box with resonant enclosures for each one feeding
into a chamber with a rotating microphone, also voltage
controlled spin rate. Add some other resonant chambers
branching off with rotary chopper wheels at their
entrances, also voltage controlled. Run the whole thing off
of a bank of LFOs in combination with whatever other
control voltages you want to input. Boggles the mind!
Of course, all the mechanical noise from the thing could be
an effect in of itself. ;-)
Good thing I am on vacation next week, I think I need it
badly!
