Stupid question regarding voltage levels

The dBm that I'm used to is dB above 1 milliwatt into 50 ohms.
The m is milliwatt.
0 dBm is 1 mW
3 dBm is about 2 mW
10 dBm is 10 mW
30 dBm is 1 W (and about 7 volts I think)
-30 dBm is 1 microwatt
Is it used in audio? Like with 600 ohms? I don't know about that.
I shouldn't try to answer questions without checking my facts.

I feel the fool, but I don't have any references handy...
What is the reference level for 0 dbM? And are these ratios based on
voltage, or power?
Thankee..
