The 13600 has an active bias control for the darlington buffer, the 13700 does
not. think of the 13600 as having a buffer that is a MUCH higher impedance when
the OTA bias current (and therefore the output) is very low. The 13700 buffer
loads the OTA too much at low control currents.

OTOH The 13600 might couple step changes in the control current signal through
to the output... via the same active bias control. Higher impedance but control
bleedthrough...

Most people use a extra FET buffer before the darlington when they use the
13700, this gives back the high impedance...
