Paul,

I should also mention the Wiard modular system. My friend
Grant Richter (also a contributor to this mailing list) runs
the company and has recently been devoting all of his time to
make the Wiard company "real" (i.e. he is working full time
producing his modules and putting together all it takes to
support and market such a system).
I own a Wiard system and find it fascinating. It is very flexable
and has a unique (interesting and pleasing) sound. I also own
a couple of other modular systems (including a Serge) and would
have to say it ranks right up there (my five modules, soon to be
six, are certainly more flexable than a similar configuration of
Digisound-80 or Roland S100-M modules, and are comparable to
a similar Serge configuration). Grant is quite committed to
making this system as good, stable, and available as possible.

Check it out:

I know that Grant is now taking orders and has been shipping
some of the modules for a while now.

P.S. I'm a friend of Grant's and a happy owner of a Wiard
system but I don't receive any profit (or even kickbacks :-))
from the Wiard company.

For some pictures of my system and it's enclosure check out
