If you think Memorymoogs and BMWs are high maintenance, try driving
a Lotus!  But when they're working, oh man, they're almost better
than sex! ...almost.

I've never repaired a Memorymoog, but I have plenty of experience
with cheap connectors.  I learned to keep scotchbright or a trusty
Pink Pearl eraser in my briefcase at all times. :-)
