OBIE? You mean the ones with or without patchstorage?

Why is this patchstorage in all synths the same? Didn't anyone hate
the idea of quantisation in that time? Yeah, right I forgot 'digital'
was THE word at that time. But really I hope you DIYers can imagine
that it's totally ridiculous to have quantisation on an analogue
synth. I would have prefered to have it bypassed for performance
mode.

The problem is that I would like to learn from analogue synthesis
without buying a modular right away. It's also much more fun to have
at least one basic an. synth. for fun. I play the piano, that makes
me musically interested. The other part is my interest in sound. I
can't imagine a better interface and soundsource than an analogue
synth.

So here's my final question; I would like to make a connection with
CVs from the front panel to the main circuitry, bypassing the cpu. I
guess everything goes through an ADC with samples the values of the
frontpanel CVs with 6 or 7bits quantisation. Now I can't do it
myself, if I would ask a repair center for an synths;

 1) Would they do it at all? 2)How much time would it take to make
such a connection (and of course a switch on the front panel) for the
costs.

Of course I would like to do it myself but I don't have the knowledge
or the practise. I was planning to study maths next year in Prague so
I would have to take a course in Electronics (would that be
sufficient?)

6 to reolace

No, I don't like it but I think I will miss it though so I tought I
might consider buying something Rolandish.

Another think did the pro1 had memories too?

Thanks,

Paul
