ODP: Synth diy Convention?

It is 75$ for two years
plus the cost of webhosting - I don't intend to make real server
and all that what comes with it. There are lot of services which give
up to few 100s of megs and all those features you can dream of
for mere 10-50$ a month.

I'm sure we could solve the money problem anyhow, but is there
real interest in doing this? I consider financing it all by myself
at the begining. All I need is, as I wrote earlier, an act of maddness,
and I must be sure it is wanted by more than 1 person.
Mail me off-list your opinions on that, and I'll post the results in, say,
2 weeks.
