Not knowing what to expect from a Ju60, it sounds like you're
describing a faulty A/D converter, less significant bit(s) is missing.
A fairly typical problem.

It's a design trade-off, low resolution A/D converter to keep price
down.
But in my experience a possible problem with the p600 is that the
algorithm for pot scanning cant handle a dirty, unstable pot. It might
lock up the whole panel.
And on that subject, does anyone have an idea where the source for
P-5, P600 etc is. Wine Country might have it, but I'm not sure, at
least they wont disclose it....
They failed to complete a P5 enhancement they announced long time ago.
I asked them about this and apparently the project has been abandoned.
Just cant wait until somebody makes some decent midi firmware for the
P5, should be easier than on most synths, and there are a lot of units
out there still in use..
Wonder if Tony K. is a DIY member...:-)

No, the pots/faders are always A/D converted on a programmable synth.
I believe the archives have info on this.
