nasty chip

The chip respondsible for patch storage in my Juno60 gives me a
headache; it quantisizes fader values even in manual mode! So if I
turn the filter into selfoscillation and move the filter frequency
fader, the pitch of the sine wave (=selfoscillating filter with dco
off) is jumping with half steps!
Now why is that? I've heard that other a-synths like the p600 suffer
from the same problem. Has anyone got an idea how to turn that
'feature' off?
I really don't understand why, it seems to me that it is totally for
nothing; the chip should only sample and quantisize the fader
positions when writing to RAM. And why, when it chip quatisizes, does
it appear in the adio output? Very weird.
Thanks,
Paul
Heck, buy an analogue synth and it still does digital quirks!
