Synth diy Convention?

This would be great fun. I've been meaning to hook up with other DIYers
around the my area. There would have to be a number of such gatherings
clustered around different geographic areas. We would be really techy and
have them around the same time and use internet video to communicate, but
it's probably easier to cluster them more loosely. Anybody out there around
NYC/Philly up for this?
I don't see why anyone would have to pay, it's just a matter of finding a
good space. A good model for this is the M.E.M.E. gatherings with Michel
Furman, Grant Richter et al. One event I'd like to see is to have all the
synths hooked together into one monster patch, that wouldn't be possible
with the separate systems.
