question: diy keyboard kit/fatman question

Well, you can bypass the VCA and take the output right from the VCF. A
warning however, all of the modulation sources (ADSR, A(S)R) are
triggered by the midi note on, so the results will be fairly
uninteresting.
You must have a computer, can't you rig up a simple midi output? Or
purchase a cheapie midi keyboard? You can get something really cheap for
$50-100 which will work fine for your purposes. I use an mk-4902 "MIDI
KEYBOARD" (can it get any more generic??) for my music with no real
difficulties. Then again, I don't require good keyboard action.
