Dumb MIDI question

I'm not sure how that happened, but the quote I was responding to didn't make 
it into my last message.  Probably some kind of pre-emptive Y2K Bug thing, or 
lingering aftereffects of HAPPY99.EXE, I think.  It certainly *couldn't 
possibly* have been an error on my part.  It should have read:
