envelope and velocity

Hi all,

I would like to use the midi velocity to control the output level of my
analog synth. Because the velocity cv and the envelope voltage are
summed at the input of the vca, the vca stays on after the envelope
cycle is completed. To solve this problem I could use a modulation vca,
right? When I add a mod vca, the envelope output level is in  proportion
to the velocity cv. I think this could also be realized in the envelope
generator. Instead of using the positive rail, the velocity cv could be
used to charge the cap. Would this be a useful design?
