question: diy keyboard kit/fatman question

I am new to the synthesizer world. I recently purchased a FatMan analog
synthesizer from PAiA electronics, but it has no keyboard or anything. I
was wondering two things: 1) is there a way to plug the FatMan into a
speaker/amp and make noise, WITHOUT controlling it with a midi keyboard,
since I'm on a rather limited budget and just want to play with noise for a
bit. . . 2) does anyone know of a DIY electronics kit that I could purchase
and put together to create a keyboard with midi in/out that I could control
that FatMan synth I already have built with?
