Keeping with the waveshaper theme, I did a sub-octave generator over the
weekend. I built it to complement the vco4 but is should work with any saw
input. Marjan sent me the original, I think it was a moog circuit. I added
the saw2sq converter, npn trigger and mixer scheme. It's tempting to leave
the mixer off, but don't. The combined waves are worth the cost of the
switches. It can be very rich and full. To set it up, input a saw and
adjust
the square-trim until the square-out is symmetrical or if you don't have a
scope until it sounds the fullest. The outputs are saw, square, down 1 oct,
down 2 oct and down 2 oct pulse. Put this in to your waveshaper for fun!
